Energy Trading Company, s.r.o. commenced its operations in the year of 2001, as a limited company, with the target of aiming its business activities within the field of trading with energy related commodities. Supplies to eligible customers on the territory of Czech and Slovak republics are secured via subsidiary companies V-Elektra, s.r.o.

The liberalization within the European power market, presents new challenging business opportunities for small business traders.

Energy Trading Company is approaching this challenge, having in mind, that flexibility, deep market knowledge and well performed risk management, is the possible platform for trading activities within very competitive business area among the major power companies.

Energy Trading Company main activities developed its main specialization to be the cross border trading. Supplies to eligible customers on the territory of Czech and Slovak republics are secured via subsidiary companies V-Elektra, s.r.o.

  • Energy Trading Company is direct participant of the European Energy Exchange, trading indirectly at the other major European power exchanges too.
  • ETC-Energy Trading became the direct participant at Czech Energy Exchange PXE in 2007.
  • Energy Trading Company has balance group agreements within 7 TSO zones.
  • Energy Trading Company has trading subsidiaries in Czech republic, Hungary and Croatia.
  • V-Elektra, s.r.o., CR and V-Elektra Slovakia, s.r.o., SR became part of Energy Trading Company group.

The main accent remains on the targeting activities within the Central and East European power markets, however company is continuously improving performance and goodwill in trading within the liquid power markets.

The conversion and liberalization process in the European power sector, with more sophisticated cross border trading, brings the European energy markets closer. Energy Trading Company wants to be an integral part of this process, offering to its business partners good knowledge of the European power market on one side and specifics of the energy sectors of Central and East Europe on the other side.
